Team Bottrill power up with new title sponsor for 2018
The shared principles of power and increased productivity bring these two forward thinking teams together

Leicester, England – (February 2018) --- UK based amateur cycling team - Team Bottrill announces that it has secured a new title sponsor with VANGUARD™; for the 2018 racing season the team will be formally known as Team Bottrill / VANGUARD™.
Power To Perform The joining of forces between Team Bottrill and VANGUARD™ is all built around the principles of power and the harnessing of it to increase productivity.
VANGUARD™ is the premium commercial engine brand of Briggs & Stratton Corporation, the world’s largest producer of 4-cycle air-cooled petrol engines for the outdoor power equipment industry, whilst Team Bottrill is made up of some of the best amateur cycling talent in the UK.

Team Bottrill / VANGUARD™ Roster for 2018
The team will be made up of 7 amateur riders, headed up by Matt Bottrill, 80 x National medallist, and silver medallist in the 2015 Gran Fondo World Championships. Matt will be joined by Brett Harwood – National Closed Circuit Champion 2015, Oliver Bates – 2nd Fenland Clarion National B Road Race, George Evans - Welsh Elite Time Trial Champion 2017, Stuart Travis – National 25 mile Team Award Winner, 32 podium places in club and open events with 12 open TT wins, Daniel Barnett – National 10 Team Award win and Competition Record 2014, and George Fox – 3rd British National TTT 2017.

Team Bottrill / VANGUARD™ Goals The individual riders, and the team as a whole have a clear set of race targets for the 2018 season. The most notable targets are:
Win amateur world championships in Varese Italy
Win at least two British national time trial championships
Retain Welsh time trial championship
Podium finish in British U23 time trial championships
Win at least one national B road race and road race in Belgium
