Riding the TT bike during the winter is a non negotiable if you are wanting to improve for your summer events. Its all about muscle memory and we all know if you don't use it you lose it. My 3 top tips for doing this are -

How Often? Twice a week, either on the turbo or out on the road if you can. We tend to use the road / gravel bike more in the winter out and about which is great but to adapt for your events in the summer you need to train in position weekly.

Aero Drills - Get a good bike fit and implement these drills into your training on a weekly basis, if you are not doing these through the winter you wont be adapted for those summer events. Consistency is key to progression in this area. In the winter if you cant get out on the road then turbo will be your best friend, you can really focus on these and develop your position with no outside factors and this can really help you perfect them.

Real world riding - Getting out on the road on the TT over winter where weather / day light permits, ideally 1 day at the weekend. The turbo cannot replicate being out on the road with all the other factors like wind, traffic and other riders, all these factors affect you and holding the position.

We are now booking into early May 2026 onwards for our bike fitting, its great to see so many people planning ahead and really looking at all the different areas of your set up and goals for the following year.
